Steven K. Hawkins is vice president of Information Security Solutions, a business unit of Raytheon Company’s Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS). Before assuming this position, Hawkins was vice president for National Systems from 2003 through 2007.

Hawkins has been with Raytheon and its predecessor companies since 1979. He has progressed through various engineering and management positions across a broad range of national and tactical imagery and signals intelligence, information security and command, control and communication systems applications.

From 2000 to 2002, he was vice president of Multi-Source Information Systems. From 1998 to 2000, he was an engineering fellow and director of Advanced Imagery Systems.

From 1994 to 1998, Hawkins was the director of both Signal and Communication Systems, and
Communications and Information Handling Systems Development.

From 1989 to 1994, he was senior program manager, program manager and staff engineer for Advanced Tactical C3I Systems at E-Systems.

Before 1989, he was the manager of systems engineering for electronic intelligence and infrared processing systems.

Before joining E-Systems in 1983, Hawkins worked for Texas Instruments Defense Systems (now part of Raytheon) as a design and project engineer for Airborne Radar Systems.

Hawkins received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dallas in 1988, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University in 1983 and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from West Virginia University (formerly West Virginia Tech) in 1979.
