Dr. Rodger Dickey

Dr. Rodger Dickey has over 23 years experience in airport operations and management, aviation security, and security technology development, acquisition, and deployment.  Dr. Dickey is a former senior executive at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and is currently an aviation industry consultant serving airports, airlines and commercial clients.  From 2002 to 2004 Dr. Dickey was the Program Director for the Security Technology Deployment Office of the TSA.

Prior to the creation of the TSA Dr. Dickey was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a member of the Security Equipment Integrated Product Team (SEIPT).  As the SEIPT Evaluation Team lead, Dr. Dickey was responsible for determining the operational suitability and effectiveness for equipment, procedures, and personnel associated with the explosives detection program.
Before joining the SEIPT as a federal employee in 1999 Dr. Dickey served at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for 14 years in the Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a police tactical team leader and in the Administrative Services Division as a business planner. 

Dr. Dickey holds a Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, a Master of Public Administration degree, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington, TX.

Dr. Dickey currently resides in Texas with his wife and son.
