Andy Blumenthal is the Chief Technology Officer at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Previously, Blumenthal served as Director of Enterprise Architecture and IT Governance for the United States Coast Guard and as Chief Enterprise Architect at the United States Secret Service. Blumenthal is a visionary IT and business thought leader and has for 20 years developed leading-edge technology solutions for premier organizations in both the private & public sectors, including the U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Treasury, the Dreyfus Corporation and IBM. Blumenthal holds an MBA in organizational behavior and is a Certified Enterprise Architect, Project Management Professional, Chief Information Officer and holds a CompTIA A+ in hardware and operating systems. Blumenthal is the recipient of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Team Excellence Award for Enterprise Architecture, has been featured in Federal  Computer Week, interviewed on Federal News Radio, is a lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University and National Defense University and serves as associate editor of the Journal of Enterprise Architecture.
