Mr. Gil Metzger

Lockheed Martin
Gil Metzger joined Lockheed Martin in 2001 as technical director for
product development with the charter of identifying and developing
discriminating technologies that enable the creation of new programs,
products, and future lines of businesses. His responsibilities required
technical oversight of multiple programs and research and development
projects.
Prior to his transition to Lockheed Martin, Metzger spent 19 years at Texas
Instruments Missile Systems (subsequently purchased by Raytheon), where
he rapidly progressed up the technical ladder through a variety of
leadership positions. As a result of his accomplishments, he was
elected senior member of the technical staff, representing the top 5 percent of
Raytheon's technical population. He was subsequently promoted to
Raytheon engineering fellow.
Metzger received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Arkansas in 1982, and was a Member of Tau Beta Pi
(Engineering) and Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering) honor societies.
He is a former president of the Arkansas Academy of Electrical
Engineers. He is also on the electrical engineering advisory boards of
several universities.
