MotionDSP, which is based in Silicon Valley, has image processing capabilities in two-dimensional mapping, detection and tracking, video enhancement, and video redaction. Cubic said the deal will expand the image enhancement and processing capabilities of its Mission Solutions business.

“The addition of MotionDSP’s technology will enrich our solution offering,” Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions, said in a statement. “Also, we look forward to leveraging MotionDSP’s position in Public Safety and other markets as new growth adjacencies for Cubic.”

MotionDSP’s software products enhance the quality of real-time video for customers in the military and law enforcement areas, oil and gas, forestry, inspection services, and energy and transportation industries.
