CrowdStrike has appointed Jerry Dixon as chief information security officer (CISO) and Rod Murchison as vice president of product management, the company said Wednesday.

The cybersecurity-focused company delivers cloud-based endpoint protection. These new positions are part of a strategic expansion meant to “support CrowdStrike in meeting the exponential global demand for the CrowdStrike Falcon™ platform while continuing to heavily invest in innovation and category leadership,” the company said in a statement.

Dixon previously served as vice president of cyber threat intelligence and incident response at American Express [AXP], where he led the creation of forward-looking strategies to operationalize threat intelligence and prevent cyber breaches. He has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity issues, including holding several leadership positions in the private sector and government including at the director-level at the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) National Cyber Security Division and the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (UWS-CERT).

Murchison also have over two decades of experience, but in bringing products and solutions to market. In his new position, Murchison will be responsible for driving product strategy and technology innovation and also ensuring CrowdStrike products, pricing, and packaging create value for the company’s customers and partners.

Murchison earlier served as vice president of product management for Tripwire, where it captured a significant share of the security and vulnerability management market before being acquired by Belden.

George Kurtz, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of CrowdStrike, commented on the hires by noting that “To support our explosive growth, we continue to recruit top industry experts who will be instrumental in helping us drive forward our aggressive business and technology goals.”
