Cubic Nabs Potential $500M DTRA Award for CRNE Support

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has awarded Cubic Corp.

[CUB] a potential 10-year, $500 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for CBRNE exercise, capability assessment and capacity development support services. The contract provides for support services under the agency’s Building Partnerships Divisions. DTRA says the five offers were received for the competitive award.

CGI Nabs Three State Department Task Orders Worth $64M for Visa Services

The State Department has awarded CGI Group [GIB] subsidiary Stanley Associates three task orders valued at $64 million combined to provide visa processing services in a number of countries. The task orders, awarded by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, cover visa processing services in various countries in Asia, the Caribbean and South America. Stanley’s services include information services, onsite applicant support, fee collection, appointment services, offsite collection of applicant biometrics, and document delivery. The company supports visa processing operations in 68 countries.

TSA Awards L-3 Contract $20M for 20 3DX eXaminer EDS Systems

L-3 Communications [LLL] has received a $19.7 million task order from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide 20 medium-speed 3DX eXaminer 6700 explosive detection systems (EDS) to five airports. The systems are being acquired to support new airport projects and recapitalization efforts. The airports are Chicago Midway, Southwest Florida, Boston Logan, John Wayne, and Kahului. Separately, the agency awarded L-3 two task orders worth more than $1.2 million in total for the installation and integration of six medium-speed systems at two airports.

Optosecurity Wins Bid for Airport-Wide Centralized Remote Screening at Brussels

Optosecurity says it has won the world’s first public tender for an airport-wide centralized image processing solution of passenger carry-on bags at Brussels Airport in Belgium. The airport is acquiring Optosecurity’s eVelocity integrated security screening software that allow operators of X-Ray systems to be located remotely from checkpoint operations, enabling them to more efficiently review images of carry-on parcels and items, speeding throughput and enhancing security. Brussels Airport is deploying the integrated software screening suite at its new Connector central screening facility, a 25-lane facility that will be the first in the world to provide central screening of cabin baggage for the entire airport. The airport has used eVelocity previously for remote screening. Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport has also deployed eVelocity.

Frontline Security Nabs $11M from DHS for Security Guard Services

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service has awarded Frontline Security Services an $11.1 million contract to provide protective security officers at several sites in Washington, DC. The contract was a service-disabled veteran-owned small business set aside.

CBP Awards NTT $3M for IV&V Services

NTT Data’s U.S.-based Federal Services division has received a potential one-year, $3.2 million contract from Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Technology Innovation and Acquisition for Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services related to the acquisition of border security surveillance systems. The contract has a six-month base period and two three-month options. NTT Data is the incumbent for the services. A competitive process for a new task order under the EAGLE II contract is being finalized with an award expected in the first quarter of FY ’15.
