CACI Nabs $194M TSA Task Order for Enterprise IT

CACI International [CACI] won a $194 million task order from the Transportation Security Administration to provide end-to-end enterprise information technology (IT) infrastructure, integration, and support to the agency. The three-year single-award was made under the EAGLE II contract and is new work for CACI’s Enterprise IT market. The company says it will optimize TSA’s enterprise IT infrastructure and provide IT service-desk and field support to agency employees who work at 550 airports and agency offices.

GSA Awards By Light Cyber Security Services Special Item Numbers

By Light Professional IT Services, LLC has been awarded three Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Numbers by the General Services Administration (GSA). The company says the HACS SINs allow its customers direct access to cyber security support services to rapidly address potential vulnerabilities and thwart attacks. “Direct access to proven cyber professionals addresses an urgent need faced by many of our customers in the DoD, the intelligence community and federal agencies,” says Robert Donahue, CEO of By Light. “These SINS provide an opportunity for timely, enterprise wide cyber assessments and the critical remediation services that result in long-term network and data security.” By Light received the Penetration Testing, Incident Response, and Risk and Vulnerability SINs.

DHS S&T Awards $1M to Two Universities for Cyber Security Research

The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has awarded $1.3 million to two universities for research into cyber risk economics. The Univ. of California, San Diego received $1 million to develop threat intelligence tools and techniques for measuring the reliability and value of a threat intelligence source to an enterprise. The Univ. of Illinois, Chicago received $227,305 to develop a cyber-attack economic impact model to provide a baseline for organizations to evaluate and quantify estimated economic impacts of cyber attacks for cyber security investment decision support. The award also calls for development of a tool to automate data collection and analysis in order to provide real-time estimates of cyber-attack outcomes. “S&T is working to improve cyber security practices, particularly in the areas of risk management and investment decision making, through improved models and metrics that help organizations make informed acquisition and deployment decisions about cyber security products on the market today.”

DHS Awards Mirion $2M for Helium-3 Alternative Backpack Rad Detection

Mirion Technologies has received a $1.6 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security under the Helium-3 Alternative backpack radiation detector for wide-area search and detection. On its website, Mirion says it offers the SPIR-Pack, a hands-free human portable radiation detection and identification backpack that allows for discrete monitoring in densely populated areas or crowds during events. DHS said in April that it expected to award four Phase I contracts under the program.
