CGI Group Inc. [GIB] is taking on a greater role in supporting the Army’s fleet of UH-60 fleet as part of several five-year contracts awarded to the Canadian technology consulting firm worth $92.5 million to support four separate Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) programs.

The contract, announced July 19, continues CGI’s partnership with the Utility Helicopter Project Management Office (UHPMO) to carry out acquisition tasks for the Army’s UH-60 Black hawk helicopter program. CGI will conduct ongoing research and development and handle Foreign Military Sales and modernization in support of the UH-60 fleet.

“We are honored to once again be chosen to support the U.S. Army through our continued engagement with these critical AMCOM programs that directly support the warfighter,” President of CGI Federal Tim Hurlebaus said in a statement. “CGI has the subject matter expertise and contract experience to deliver unique insight into these AMCOM programs and processes. Our proven track record demonstrates that our members have time and time again provided both the Army and our teaming partners with responsive and cost-effective services and solutions.”

Three other sub-contracts were included alongside the helicopter contract for CGI, including providing the Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems Project Office with acquisition and software development support. CGI will also assist the AMCOM Logistics Center with identifying and tracking root equipment failure causes, as well as providing data management and standardization services for AMCOM’s Research, Development and Engineering Center’s Technical Data Management Division.
