CACI International [CACI] yesterday said it is consolidating its geospatial capabilities in Fort Collins, Colo., and making investments in a new facility in St. Louis after closing a facility in Ohio.

The facility in Colorado is part of an industry hub in support of geospatial study and innovation called GIS Alley. CACI said that centering its geospatial operations there and the facility will allow it to attract high-level talent and pursue industry partnerships to advance its position in the market.

The investments in St. Louis will help support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, which is one of the largest employers in the region, and other customers while providing opportunities to showcase its new services.

CACI noted that the St. Louis area also includes a number of government agencies that depend on geospatial support, including the U.S. Geologic Services, U.S. Transportation Command and Air Mobility Command.

“We are excited to be a major part of the geospatial community in Colorado,” Jake Jacoby, executive vice president of CACI’s National Solutions Group, said in a statement. “As an early adopter and integrator of technological breakthroughs, CACI will continue to diversify its base across the market and bring innovations to all customers, without reducing focus on the needs of traditional and industry-leading partners.”
