Army Issues Draft RFP for Rad Detection System

The Joint Project Manager for Radiological and Nuclear Defense has issued a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a standard Defense Department Radiological Detection System (RDS) that will replace the joint services’ current Radiation Detection, Indication and Computation (RADIAC) systems. The RDS will provide increased capability and enable the military services to effectively conduct joint operations with interoperable equipment by providing a network centric, rugged radiation detection capability for detection of the entire spectrum of radiological and nuclear hazards and threats. DHS Seeks Information on Portable Radiation Portal Monitors

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a Request for Information for portable radiation portal monitors as part of its System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program. The program, which is managed by the department’s Science & Technology branch, conducts objective assessments and validations on commercial equipment and systems, and provides the results to the emergency response community. TSA Issues RFIs for Hiring Operations, Recruitment Services

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued two combined Sources Sought/Requests for Information (RFI) to increase industry’s understanding of and solicit industry’s capabilities, ideas and recommendations on the agency’s requirement for Human Capital Hiring Operations and for Human Capital Recruitment services. TSA says it wants to identify qualified organizations capable of providing these services and find innovative solutions and ideas on how to efficiently and effectively fulfill these requirements. TSA Plans Human Capital Services Industry Days
