TSA Issues Innovation Task Force BAA for 2018

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for its Innovation Task Force (ITF) seeking concept papers and proposals to understand existing market capabilities and identify vendors capable of enhancing the transportation security system. The ITF wants to obtain potential solutions to a number of problem areas associated with aviation security, including alarm resolution, identity verification, emerging threat detection, automated security design, passenger communications, real time support tools for Transportation Security Officers to increase security effectiveness, and passenger load distribution/passenger wait times. DHS Cyber Office Plans Industry Day

The Department of Homeland Security Office of Cybersecurity and Communications, which is led by Jeanette Manfra, will host an Industry Day on Aug. 16 in Arlington, Va. The theme of the event is “Partnering for a More Secure Cyberspace,” and is part of an ongoing effort to increase transparency with industry. Topics to be discussed in breakout sessions include a technical roadmap, cloud migration, evolution of the dotgov security, updates of the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program, election security, and automation and orchestration. CBP Surveys Market for Northern Border RVSS Camera System

The Federal Aviation Administration, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection, is conducting a market survey for a potential replacement camera system to be used in the northern border Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS). The camera system will include an infrared camera, electro-optical camera, and pan-tilt platform. CBP Conducting Market Research for Centralized Security Ops Center

The Federal Aviation Administration, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection, has issued a Request for Information on market conditions and industry trends for an acquisition strategy to procure a centralized Network Operations Center/ Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC) and call center support.
