DHS S&T Silicon Valley Program Issues Call for Object Recognition Algorithms

The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program has issued a topic call for Object Recognition and Adaptive Algorithms in Passenger Property Screening. DHS says that the Transportation Security Administration is interested in solutions that facilitate adaptive image interpretation and provide object recognition capabilities that recognize and adapt to changes in objects, materials, and other aspects of passenger property. The call is seeking innovative techniques to automatically classify the contents of passenger stream-of-commerce images and data in a manner that can support future algorithm development for explosives and or prohibited item threats. The Silicon Valley program will host an Industry Day at SRI in California on May 4. Sol. No. 70RSAT1800000024. Respond by April 17. Contact: [email protected].
