DHS S&T Surveys Market for Counter UAS Systems

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, National Urban Security Technology Laboratory is conducting a market survey on technology solutions that are able to detect, identify, track and or defeat unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in domestic urban environments to meet the needs of emergency responders and law enforcement services. DISA Seeks Sources for Denial of Service Detection and Mitigation

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has issued a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability and technical capability of businesses to provide the required products or services to promote cyber defense by providing a Denial of Service and Distributed Denial of Service detection and mitigation solution (DDoS-MS) that will monitor network traffic traversing the Internet/NIPRNET boundary as well as internal Defense Department Information Network (DoDIN) traffic in order to protect DoDIN assets. USCIS Issues RFI for Support for Application Support Centers

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for potential support related to an ongoing contract for its Application Support Center operations and facilities. The agency says its ASC operations and facilities services elements may require revisions during the term of an ongoing contract to meet fluctuating workloads resulting from new Department of Homeland Security initiatives and the incorporation of more efficient immigration processes and technologies. Potential changes include ASC site locations, closure of sites, new overseas sites, and additional operational tasks such as incorporation of additional applicant processing as a result of a large surge requirement, which is dependent on legislation being passed. GSA Issues RFI for Mobile Technology Security

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate’s Cyber Security Division, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry input on a congressionally-mandated study relating to the security of the mobile devices used by the federal government. The study is directed in the Cybersecurity Act of 2015. DHS must also consult with the National Institute of Standards and Technology on the report. The RFI is intended to afford the mobile and cellular/Wi-Fi industry and mobile security researchers the opportunity to identify their technical capabilities to address risks posed by the use of mobile technologies by federal users. GSA to Host West Coast Cybersecurity Action Plan Industry Day

The General Services Administration (GSA) on July 13 will host the Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) West Coast Industry Day in California as a follow-up to an industry day workshop held in Washington, D.C. in June. The GSA is visiting the Bay Area to bring together government and industry partners to discuss the agency’s role in the CNAP, to identify new ways GSA can engage technology and security companies interested in providing their services to government buyers, and to provide an opportunity for industry to understand the cyber acquisition strategy regarding proactive and reactive cyber security services identified in the CNAP.
