GSA Soliciting for HSPD-12 Core Services Acquisition

The General Services Administration (GSA) has issued a Request for Proposal to acquire a solution that will provide it with HSPD-12 Managed Service Office USAccess Program government-wide contractor services for identity and credential management services. The services include applicant sponsorship, enrollment, biometric submission for background investigation purposes, credential issuance, maintenance and management, and biographic and agency specific sponsorship record maintenance. GSA says the new requirement contains major changes in several areas, to include the service delivery model. Previous task orders have required the core services contractor to provide equipment for the fixed credentialing sites only and required the customer agencies to purchase Light Solutions kits from the incumbent’s Schedule 70 contract. Navy Issues BAA for Non-Ionizing Explosive Detection Equipment to Analyze Residue

The Naval Sea Systems Command has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for development in support of explosive detection equipment that does not utilize ionizing radiation and is designed for analysis of trace residue. The Navy is seeking to improve existing equipment to more fully meet requirements outline in focus areas. Improvements are sought in detection rates, reducing false alarms, and detection scheme. Sol. FLETC Seeks Small UAS for Training

The Department of Homeland Security Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is soliciting for nine small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) for use at its training facility in Glynco, Ga. TSA Issues RFI for Secure Flight Support

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to help it revise and refine its requirements for applications development services related to the Secure Flight program. TSA wants to align its requirements with industry best practices. The agency is also considering splitting the program management functions and the application development and associated support into distinct but related contracts. DARPA Seeks Research Proposals for Enhanced Cyber Attribution

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has issued a Broad Agency Announcement seeking innovative research proposals in the area of cyber attribution. DARPA says the goal of the Enhanced Attribution program is to develop technologies for generating operationally and tactically relevant information about multiple concurrent independent malicious cyber campaigns, each involving several operators, and the means to share such information with any number of interested parties without putting at risk the sources and methods used for collection. Army to Solicit Bids for pRFID III Program

The Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems has issued a pre-solicitation for an upcoming procurement under the Passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) III products and services program. The service intends to issue a Request for Proposal on or around July 1 with a response data on or around Aug. 1. The RFP will be a follow-on competition to the current pRFID II single award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract that will expire on Dec. 19. DTRA Seeks Simulation System for Responses to National Incidents

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has issued a Sources Sought Notice related to its requirement to build a simulation system that incorporates details of interdependent social, behavioral, economic and societal infrastructure, mainly for CBRN decision informatics. Army Issues RFI for Remote Sensing for CBRN Detection

The Army Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking innovative mature solutions for the use of remote sensing technologies to reduce the immediate CBRN threats to U.S. forces and interests. The Army says this threat requires rapid solutions in support of Combatant Commander efforts. The office is seeking the ability to detect chemical, biological and radiological threats through the use of capabilities such as unmanned platforms, electro-optical equipment, or others to give the warfighter the opportunity to avoid coming in contact with CBRN threats. FBI Solicits for Contactless Fingerprint Devices

The FBI has issued a Request for Quotation seeking interested vendors for the purpose of providing contactless fingerprint device hardware and software onsite support services for access control purposes. The bureau’s Biometric Center of Excellence plans to acquire the devices for test and evaluation purposes with the goal being to evaluate the quality of fingerprint images captured and their suitability in an access control environment.
