CBP Issues Draft RFP for Mobile Reflective Imaging Systems

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mobile Reflective Imaging Systems and plans to award a single indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a five-year ordering period. The MRIS is considered a large scale non-intrusive inspection system. The agency wants the contractor to deliver an imaging source or sources that will incorporate reflective imaging technology that does not rely on radioactive sources. PNNL Offers Licensing Opportunities for Explosives Detection

The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is soliciting licensing opportunities for improved solid phase micro extraction for explosives detection. The license provides rights to commercialize, manufacture and market the technology, which is for enhanced capture of target analyzes. DHS Issues RFI to Install and Support Law Enforcement Video Network

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking information on the availability of qualified contractors to provide engineering and network management services for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a Law Enforcement Video Transmission Network (LEVTN) that as part of the department’s Advanced Wireless Spectrum Relocation Plan. The LEVTN will consist of multiple fixed sites providing wireless connectivity to wired infrastructure and an existing nationwide wired network backbone for the transport of law enforcement video. DHS says that as a result of a future spectrum auction by the federal government, it must address the challenges of operating with a reduction in microwave channels, while at the same time receiving an increase in subscribers to the system. DHS Surveys Market for Under Vehicle Inspection Systems

The Department of Homeland Security National Urban Security Technology Laboratory is seeking information on commercially available under vehicle inspection systems to meet the needs of emergency responders and protective services. The information is being sought for the Science and Technology Directorate’s System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders program for helping emergency responders making procurement decisions. The program conducts objective assessments and validations on commercially available equipment and systems and develops knowledge products that provide relevant equipment information to the emergency responder community. DHS S&T issues Solicitation for Multiplexed Molecular Diagnostic Device

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) branch is soliciting proposals for a research opportunity for a rapid, intensive, small, instrumentless multiplexed molecular diagnostic device that could test for a multiplexed panel of pathogens from a single finger stick blood sample or similar biological sample. DHS and its local partners have a need to quickly collect reliable information to enable a swift and confident response to a biological and or chemical threat. TSA Finalizing Requirement for New IT Support Services Contract
