CBP Issues RFP for Multirole Enforcement Aircraft

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued the final Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Multirole Enforcement Aircraft (MEA). The agency plans to award a single indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract that includes a base year and four one-year options. The contract will be for the aircraft and mission sensor system. The MEA is a multi-purpose, fixed-wing, multi-engine airplane which can be configured to perform multiple missions such as marine interdiction, air interdiction, and land interdiction, cargo and personnel transportation, and law enforcement technical collection. CBP Seeks Info on Drive Through Portal NII Systems

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a Request for Information for Drive-Through Portal Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) systems. The agency wants to identify sources capable of meeting its requirements for scanning passenger-occupied vehicles. Drive-through portals allow vehicles to be driven through the inspection system without requiring occupants to exit the vehicle to ensure the efficient flow of legitimate trade and travel across U.S. borders. Navy Seeks Sources for Standoff Explosives Detection

The Naval Sea Systems Command has issued a Sources Sought notice for standoff explosive detection and/or identification systems for inclusion in the Explosive Detection Equipment-User Scenario Evaluation (EDE-USE) and Demonstration. The Navy seeks commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), government-off-the-shelf (GOTS), or near COTS/GOTS systems capable of detecting bulk quantities of explosives at distances greater than 2-feet without direct contact with the sample. CBP Surveys Market for Northern Border RVSS Infrared Camera

NIH Soliciting for Development of Rad/Nuke Medical Countermeasures

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to solicit proposals for contracts entitled “Development of Radiation/Nuclear Medical Countermeasures or Biodosimetry Biomarkers/Devices” to advance the development of candidate medical countermeasures or biodosimetry biomarkers/devices to assess and reduce mortality and/or major morbidities associated with exposure to radiation from a radiological or nuclear incident. DHS, DoD Issue RFI for Vehicle Mounted Radiation Detection Instrumentation

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office and the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army for Test and Evaluation have issued a Request for Information (RFI) on vehicle mounted radiation detection instrumentation to participate in the Radiological/Nuclear Interagency Characterization and Assessment Program (R/N ICAP) joint test program. The information will be used to select vehicle mounted radiation detection systems for testing against the requirements stated in the Vehicle Mounted Mobile Systems Technical Capability Standard. The R/N ICAP is an interagency program that evaluates commercial-off-the-shelf radiological and nuclear detection systems against standards. DHS Releases FY ’16 Small Business Innovation Research Solicitation
