TSA Issues Solicitation for PreCheck Application Expansion

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a solicitation seeking expanded enrollment opportunities into its PreCheck known traveler program. The agency plans to add companies to do enrollments by awarding an Other Transaction Agreement. The contractors would conduct enrollment and initial pre-screening activities and contractors would forward successfully pre-screened applications to TSA. Contractors would also be responsible for marketing the program. DNDO to Host RPM Industry Engagement Event

The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) plans to host a Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM) Industry Engagement Event on Dec. 3 in Washington, D.C., to provide industry with information on replay tool capabilities required by the agency and also to provide industry with information on the upcoming RPM data collection event planned for April 2016. The data collection event will provide industry with the opportunity to scan DNDO supplied radiation sources, including special nuclear material, with their RPM systems. Knowledge of future replay tool requirements and participation in the RPM data collection event may prepare industry partners for a future DNDO RPM solicitation anticipated in FY ’17. Sol. CBP AMO Issues RFI for MTI Radar

Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for a commercially available Moving Target Indicator (MTI) radar suitable for detection and tracking of vehicles and dismounted individuals from manned aircraft over land environments.  AMO is interested in the availability and costs for systems, subsystems and technology that will aid in the procurement of an MTI radar. DHS Re-competing Requirement for Personal Body Armor

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is in the process of re-competing the requirement for personal body armor for agencies under its sponsorship. The department is conducting the procurement through Customs and Border Protection, which is interested in incorporating commercial and industry practices that support this type of procurement. The agency plans to make industry a partner in all facets of the acquisition process, specifically by considering existing market capabilities, strengths and weakness for the acquisition of this commodity. TSA Intel Office Seeks Small Business Support

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Office of Intelligence and Analysis, Program Management Division is seeking qualified small business sources to provide Tier 2 customer service support on behalf of the agency to the transportation sector populations that are managed within the intelligence office’s program management division. DHS Plans Small Business Outreach Session for November

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization will host a vendor outreach session in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 19.
