*Implant Sciences Corp. [IMX] has hired Richard Meyeroff to be its new vice president of sales and service in its Security Division, replacing Joanne Arsenault, who recently left the company. Meyeroff most recently was vice president of global sales with L-3 Communication’s [LLL] Security and Detection Systems business. “We will be focusing our resources on expanding the security business and I look forward to leveraging my global relationships to aggressively drive domestic and international sales,” Meyeroff says. Implant points out that Meyeroff speaks several foreign languages. Under Arsenault’s direction, Implant had scattered success selling its handheld and bench top explosive trace detectors in transportation security markets domestically and internationally, despite the fact that the company so far hasn’t been able to develop a product that meets the certification requirements of the Transportation Security Administration.
