The law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP says it recently helped an energy company obtain the first public SAFETY Act certification for an enterprise-wide cyber security program. SAFETY Act certification provides limited liability protections for anti-terrorism technologies, services and capabilities.

Customs and Border Protection has identified a third impostor at the Port of San Luis, Ariz., this month through the use of facial comparison technology in the pedestrian land environment. CBP says a 30-year old man was arrested after attempting to use a border crossing card to enter the U.S. from Mexico. The CBP officer received a photo mismatch indicator during primary inspection and referred the man to secondary inspection where it was determined the man was not the true bearer of the credential. CBP is evaluating the facial comparison technology at San Luis.
