WidePoint Corp. [WYY] has received a one-year $2.3 million task order from the Federal Protective Service under a Department of Homeland Security contract for cellular services. The task order is the first for WidePoint under the potential $600 million Cellular Wireless Managed Services Blanket Purchase Agreement, for which the company’s subsidiary iSYS LLC was the sole awardee.

Elbit Systems

[ESLT] has received a $100 million contract to supply integrated systems for a homeland security solution in Latin America. Elbit says it will supply a new intelligence gathering system to an undisclosed customer.

The McConnell Group, Inc., has received a $6.5 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate to provide support to the Agricultural Defense Scientific Program at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Support services include animal vaccinations, inoculations, and the maintenance, auditing and verification of select agent inventories, and maintaining the health, welfare and well-being of the animals.

The Department of Homeland Security plans to award Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] a potential four-month, $961,038 extension to an existing task order for support ahead of the biennial National Cyber Exercise, Cyber Storm. The extension has a three-month base period for $720,779 and a one-month option for $240,259. DHS says as lapse in support will negatively impact preparations for Cyber Storm
