BAE SYSTEMS Dec. 11 was awarded two Army contracts that total nearly $900 million to reset Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

The first reset contract, issued Nov. 29, is a $709.3 million firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contract The work will be done in York, Pa., and completed by Dec. 31, 2009. The contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One bid was solicited on July 25, and one bid was received. The Tank, Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM Life Cycle Management Command), Warren, Mich., issued the contract.

The second contract, also issued by TACOM LCMC to BAE in York, Pa., also was awarded Nov. 29, and is a $135.1 million cost-reimbursable contract for Bradley reset. The work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. The contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One bid was solicited Aug. 14, and one bid was received.
