The U.S. Army released a formal solicitation for a contractor to provide cyberspace related services and recommendations to the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Cyber Center (JCC) on Monday.

The contractor will support planning, designing, and managing cyberspace security and posture initiatives that cover services including cyber defense operations, cyber intelligence analysis and support, joint network operations (NetOps) Support, and operations plans (OPLANS) and concept of operations (CONOPS) plans.

The contractor will also provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform JCC support services.

The planned period of performance includes a phase-in period from June 1, 2015 – July 14, 2015, a base period from July 15, 2015 – May 31, 2016, and three year-long option periods from June 1 – May 31 2017-2019.

USFK JCC was chartered by the commander of USFK to establish, provide, and maintain a leading edge in cyberspace operations capability to support directly the Combined, United States, and South Korea operations within the Korean Theater of Operations.
