The Army has reassigned the Program Manager Heavy Brigade Combat Team after a review of its next generation howitzer, the Paladin Integrated Management (PIM) program, its lead fire-support modernization effort, the service said yesterday.

In a statement for Defense Daily, the service said, “Due to some program scheduling delays and funding reprogramming requirements, Senior Army leadership has undertaken an in depth program review to ensure the program is postured for success. In conjunction with the review, the Army decided to make a management change and reassign the Project Manager for the Heavy Brigade Combat Team.”

The Army and Paladin PIM prime contractor, BAE Systems, are fully committed to the success of the program.

BAE unveiled the first of the Paladin PIMS last week (Defense Daily, Jan. 21).
