The Army will hold individual meetings this month with vendors interested in its Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle (OMFV) program, with the opportunity to provide input on the recently released draft request for proposals (RFP), officials announced Monday.

OMFV is the Army’s Next-Generation Combat Vehicle effort to replace its Bradley fighting vehicles, and a final RFP for the program is set to drop in late March.

“The purpose of the session is to allow interested prime vendors an opportunity to ask the government team questions about the draft RFP,” Army officials wrote in a FedBizOpps notice.

The draft RFP was released on Feb. 1, which detailed plans to award two vendors prototype development contracts in 2020 (Defense Daily, Feb. 1).

“One-on-one sessions will not be used for the purposes of business marketing, and the government strongly desires the attendance of the vendor’s technical experts,” officials wrote.

Meetings with the Army will take place between Feb. 12-14 and may be held in either classified or unclassified settings.

BAE Systems’ CV90, General Dynamics’ [GD] Griffin II,  Raytheon’s [RTN] Lynx vehicle developed in partnership with Germany’s Rheinmetall, and an SAIC [SAIC] model based off its offering for the Army’s Mobile Protected Firepower program, have all been proposed as potential options for OMFV.

Interested vendors are asked to respond to the opportunity notice by Feb. 6.
