The U.S. Army awarded Texas Aerospace Services Ltd. an $11.8 million firm fixed-price contract for the overhaul of the UH-60 Blackhawk’s helicopter cylinder assembly, the Defense Department said March 28.

Contracted bids were originally solicited through the Internet with three offers received. Work locations and specific funding will be determined later with each order. The estimated completion date of the contract is March 27, 2022.

The contracting activity is U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
