Airbus Group and HawkEye 360 this week said they have formed a strategic partnership to deliver geospatial intelligence solutions derived from their respective datasets for defense, security and civil customers.

Airbus in 2019 agreed to invest in HawkEye 360, which is building and launching a commercial satellite constellation and related radio frequency analytic products.

Under the arrangement, Airbus will deliver Virginia-based HawkEye 360’s RF data and analytics to customers in Europe to enhance its maritime, defense and intelligence products. HawkEye 360 will deliver Airbus’ earth observation optical and synthetic aperture radar products along with its RF solutions to defense and intelligence customers.

“Together with Airbus, we will be able to build sophisticated products and services that intelligently leverage a more comprehensive range of data than previously commercially available,” John Serafini, CEO of HawkEye 360, said in a statement.
